Just a few days ago, Oscar de La Renta’s unfortunate passing yesterday has took the fashion world by surprise. While his classic and sophisticated style will never be forgotten, I couldn’t think of a better way to honor his memory than by sharing some his gorgeous bridal designs. He was the designer for brides looking for the wedding gown of their fantasies, which included, Katherine Heigl, Kate Bosworth and, most recently, Amal Clooney, for whom he created a Chantilly lace and tulle off-the-shoulder confection with a train that was almost too heavy for her flower girl to carry.
