I have some modern and classic inspiration to share with you today, a Laguna wedding with a creative take on gold and black. The colors – black, white and gold – are classic for an evening celebration of course, and paired with pretty details like these cute bridesmaid dresses, gold-painted vases and those creative wedding invitations, would make for a really lovely wedding. Adorable! It’s amazing to see someone pull this off! Thanks to fab Pol Espino Photography for sharing this wedding with us today!

Love Story
It was no extraordinary love story but one that they can call simple yet unique…

Simple in a sense wherein Jammy and Shugs just met at work and started out as friends as most people do. They got introduced in a training class where Shugs was Jammy’s coach. They started to chat over IM at work, talking about sweet nothings that inspired them to eagerly come to work everyday. They started going out and enjoyed each other’s company, shared common likes and respected one’s differences.

What makes it unique is the connection they both had. The connection with God as their foundation. They perfectly complemented each other much like how God made Eve for Adam that they always inspired each other to grow as successful and good individuals. As they grew their relationship, they allowed each other to grow in every aspect of life – career, family, faith and a lot more. It is just befitting to return everything and its glory to the one that wrote their story as they embark on a new chapter as husband and wife.

The Proposal
Though they’ve been together for 6 years, Jammy, still being very predictable, could not find a perfect time and way to ask Shugs to marry her. Knowing that his close attempts to do so are always gonna give her a clue or eventually give it away, Jammy took a chance when Shugs was most vulnerable- during her sleep. Jammy knew how it annoys Shugs to be awaken from her naps and that risks getting her upset. Jammy’s plan was to kneel by her side, engagement ring in front of her and will wake her up abruptly. Hoping that if he gets a smile instead of a frown, he’d be on her way to marry the right girl. And so he did wake her up, saw her eyes open slowly, and saw a smile beaming at her first glance of him. Jammy, with a sigh of relief, saw the girl he would marry. A girl who saw him beyond any imperfect circumstance and still ended up smiling back at him.

The Day in Three Words
Just Do IT!

Wedding Style
It was a theme-less but everything was a culmination of what we loved and are passionate about. Starting with the colors we wanted to use. The touch of formal tradition during the church ceremony then combining it with a superhero theme during photo shoot and capping it all by sporty theme going into the reception. Pretty much resembles of who we are as both individuals and a couple.

Wedding Details
Our favorite wedding details include: The bride’s Vera Wang gown which came at the perfect time. The gowns of the entourage personally designed by the bride and were creative ideas of her dream wedding brought to life .The wedding setup by K by Cunanan which incorporated the light with great harmony. The entrance during the reception which was inspired by a Chicago Bulls player introduction and had a PA announcer introducing the entourage and the couple. The matching sneakers for the reception courtesy of Titan22. Lastly, the photos which captured every moment perfectly by Pol Espino Photography whose team was very comfortable to work with.

Memorable Moments
From preparation to the honeymoon, everything was very spontaneous to the point that it was nerve racking not knowing what to expect and how it’d turn out. But the day itself was the most memorable where we felt like everything just fell into place perfectly and the moment unraveled before our very eyes making it very special for both of us.

The Honeymoon
Our honeymoon plans are scheduled for a trip to the US sometime next year and so the prelude to the Honeymoon was well spent with a staycation over at Seda Hotel where the joy of each other’s company as a couple made every moment perfect.

Advice for Future Brides & Grooms
Don’t let anyone dictate your wedding. Just do what you both love to do. And as long as you focus on what’s really important, the rest are optional and just icing on the cake. Same goes with your married life, there won’t always be the right decisions. Keep an open mind to feedback and take time to listen to advices but at the end of the day, it is your partnership that will make any decision you make right.
