Using photos at your wedding can show your guests important memories and they are a great way to personalize your wedding. Most couples usually choose every glamor shots from their engagement shoot to play in a slide show or video. But try to remember that there are other memories you can consider sharing with your guests for a meaningful wedding experience.

1. Relationship Timeline Photos
Showcase your life’s milestones and special memories from your relationship. Share the story of how your lives have been leading up to this point. Slideshows are a great way to showcase these photos. Some recent creative approaches I’ve seen would be to arrange them as aisle decor, so as you (and your guests) walk down the aisle, you’re ‘walking through the journey.’

2. Family Wedding Photos
Add a vintage touch to your decor with a photo wall of your family’s old wedding photos. It’s a great conversation topic and it’s a sweet gesture to remember the loving couples that made your family what it is today. Arrange the photos on a wall in gorgeous frames  or at the entrance of your wedding reception.

3. Childhood Photos
Why not look back and cherish how the bride and grooms as they used to be – little babies and sweet kids who have grown up in the blink of an eye. It’s a wonderful way to remind the guests of your roots and how you came to be the person you are today. I love seeing childhood photos in some unexpected aspects of the wedding – sweet save the date cards or wedding favors with photos of the young bride and groom.

Make your guests feel special by showcasing photos of your memories with your friends and family. It is a great reminder to them about their relationship to you. Plus, it’s a great conversation starter, and makes everyone feel included! What could be better? These photos work best showcased at the guest book signing area, or even as accents to each guests’ reception place card!

5. Photos of Special Locations and Places
Chances are, there are memorable places in your life that have played a major role in you and your spouse’s relationship. These photos are a sweet way to remind you of the different places where your love story took place. You can add these photos into your other photo displays.
