Potted plants make adorable wedding favors! Great for outdoor and garden wedding venues, and are a wonderful idea of bringing the outdoors in with a touch of “green”. They are a eco-friendly and natural choice: green, useful & attractive. You can purchase plant favors or you can make your own! In fact, DIY plant favors are super simple, and they can be surprisingly budget friendly!

Whether you’re giving a mini plant or garden herbs, these sweet little favors can be easily incorporated into your wedding decor. They can double as place settings, escort cards, centerpieces or table decor, or even as your dinner menu. You can make your own flags or add a tag with names to use as place cards, or include a thank you note with each one. Use a colorful plant with a plain terracotta pot or use a green plant and dress it up with fabric, ribbon, flags and tags. Instead of pots, you might consider an alternative like vintage tea-cups or even something simple as a paper bag for your plant favors. Choose details that will tie in with the design of your event!

Seeds can be a great and simple option too. Make custom seed packets that fit your wedding theme, or purchase and stuff the envelopes yourself. You can also use adorable mesh bags to house your seeds if envelopes really aren’t your style. Seeds are a great favor for the garden-savvy guests, but you may want to include instructions or details too.

Terrariums are another way to give your guests a little green, if seeds and potted plants don’t quite fit into your wedding style.
